Our Home

6 Lamartine Street, Jackson Square (9/1/2025)

This original aerosol mural explores the meaning of home through the ideas of Mildred Hailey’s youngest community members. Gathering in a patch of grass among the critters along the Southwest Corridor Park, old notions mix with new ones, inhabitants with visitors, and real homes with imagined.

Hyper-local artists have a head start in understanding the narratives that are meaningful to this community. Born and raised in Boston, “Sobek” works to elevate graffiti, originally a form of rebellion, to an art form used by inner-city communities for positive expression.

Beautiful Bones:
The Offering

In a rare moment of divine artistry, Sobek, created a mural that celebrates the beauty of death—not as an end, but as a sacred passage. Through bold strokes and vivid symbolism, the mural reflects his belief that death is a return to the primordial waters, a renewal of strength, and an affirmation of life’s eternal cycle.
There is a quiet beauty in death, not for its finality, but for the way it reminds us that every moment is transient, precious, and worth embracing while it’s here.

Spirit Guide

“The mouse spirit guide teaches that even the smallest presence can leave an unmistakable mark. Quick-moving and often overlooked, it navigates the world through hidden paths and quiet observation. Like graffiti on a forgotten wall, it shows that messages of resilience and identity don’t need permission to exist—they simply appear, bold in their subtlety. The mouse reminds us that power can be gentle, influence can be quiet, and truth can be written in the margins.”
